About the Land
The Harvard Conservation Trust and the town of Harvard have over 4,000 acres of preserved land hosting myriad fauna and flora species. While preserving ecologically sensitive areas, HCT maintains miles of trails for community enjoyment. Hikers often come across wetlands, rock formations, open fields, native plants, and an abundance of wildlife on their explorations. Harvard’s landscape is characterized by rolling hills covered in woodlands and orchards, and an extensive network of wetlands connected to Bare Hill Pond in the middle of Town and the Nashua River along its western edge.
